Mission Command Training Program Commander Col. Shane Morgan addresses a group of Soldiers being recognized for their recent short-notice deployment during an award ceremony June 17, 2020 in McHugh Training Center, Fort Leavenworth Kan. The Soldiers had deployed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to support U.S. Army North. “What you did was a shining example of selfless service,” Morgan said. Col. Shane Morgan, Commander of Mission Command Training Program (right), introduces this week's Hero of TRADOC, Maj. Jason Wolfe to TRADOC Commander, Gen. Paul E. Funk, II Via VTC. The MCTP Observer, Coach, Trainer was driving to post when he came across a single vehicle rollover accident where he witnessed a 20-year-old female ejected through the front windshield of her car. Maj. Wolfe immediately took action, providing first aid by applying pressure dressings from his personal first aid kit in his vehicle while keeping the victim stable, preventing shock, and comforting her until paramedics arrived.

Combined Arms Center Commander, Lt. Gen. James Rainey met with Maj. Gen. Donna Martin, Commander of the Maneuver Support Center of Excellence, and Lt. Col. Angela Diebal-Lee, General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital deputy for readiness to discuss Screening Facility Operations for incoming Soldiers during a visit to Fort Leonard Wood on 3 June. The visit included briefings by the CBRN, Engineer and Military Police Schools.

Commanding General of United States Army Training and Doctrine Command, Gen. Paul E. Funk II, takes a moment in front of the Lewis and Clark Center at Fort Leavenworth to present coins to the eight team leads of four Tiger Teams (forty officers total) who were asked to look at ways to decrease the burdens and requirements facing company-level command teams. The teams were made up of CGSOC students who were assembled at the request of Gen. Funk and Gen. Michael X. Garrett, commander of U.S. Army Forces Command. They worked from mid-January to early May during their off time to provide recommendations. Receiving coins are: Maj. Michael Evan Roderick and Maj. Scott Schultz (Team 1); Maj. Gary Bostic and Maj. Michael Piccini (Team 2); Cpt. (P) Zach Rozar and Maj. Brian Thorson (Team 3); Maj. Eric Norgard and Maj. Edward Hughes (Team 4).
