Combined Arms Center Commanding General, Lt. Gen. Ted Martin, addresses officers of the Maneuver Captain's Career Course in Fort Benning on 3 August. The course prepares its students to be successful company commanders and battalion and brigade staff officers able to win in a complex world. Lt. Gen. Martin shared leadership advice with the students including their importance in being stewards of the profession and in developing leadership qualities in their subordinates.

Lt. Gen. Ted Martin, commanding general of the Combined Arms Center, presents coins to Ms. LaCresha Snow, LTC Michael Johnson, SGM Jason Barton and Ms. Seema Salter of the HQDA, Manpower and Reserve Affairs Equity and Inclusion Agency following the teams completion of a series of Your Voice Matters listening sessions 27-28 July. The team provided seven sessions to a diverse audience representing all units, ranks and components on Fort Leavenworth followed by a back brief to Lt. Gen. Martin with recommendations. Lt. Gen. Martin said that receiving feedback with an open mind is critical to continued improvement. The staff was directed to brief LTG Martin about possible solutions to audience concerns on Aug. 10. Effective immediately, per Department of Defense policy all Service members, Civilian employees, onsite contractors and visitors, regardless of vaccination status, will WEAR A MASK in an indoor setting on Fort Leavenworth.* * Persons under the age of two are not required to wear a mask or face covering due to the risk of suffocation. Additionally, persons with a medical condition, mental health condition, or disability that prevents wearing a face covering are not required to wear a face mask.

Combined Arms Center Commanding General, Lt. Gen. Theodore D. Martin hands off the Combined Arms Support Command colors to Maj. Gen. Mark T. Simerly during a July 9 change of command ceremony in Fort Lee, Virginia. Maj. Gen. Simerly replaced Maj. Gen. Rodney D. Fogg, who has held the position since 2018. Prior to the ceremony, Simerly was promoted to major general. He comes to Fort Lee from South Korea where he commanded the 19th Expeditionary Sustainment Command. Maj. Gen. Lt. Gen. Ted Martin, Commanding General of the U.S. Army Combined Arms Center and Fort Leavenworth, discusses some of the important roles and responsibilities of CAC with Congressman Jake LaTurner, (R-KS) during an office call July 7 at Fort Leavenworth. The two were joined by Allen Askew, the Congressman’s Military Legislative Advisor. The discussion covered a wide array of topics including CAC’s role in driving multi-domain operations into the Army and into the training base. In addition, Congressman LaTurner also spoke with key leaders from across CAC regarding Fort Leavenworth’s role in providing Army Leaders with the lessons learned, doctrine, leader development and education, and training needed to fight and win against any potential future adversary.
