Fort Leonard Wood hosted about 200 Junior ROTC cadets from schools across Missouri and Kansas Saturday, as they participated in the sixth Raider Challenge. Kansas’ Leavenworth High School Team Five was the overall winner at this year’s competition, which tested the cadets’ physical fitness as well as their ability to cooperate as a team. The winners will move on to compete against about 100 teams at the national Raider Challenge, hosted by U.S. Army Cadet Command in November. Photo by 2nd Lt. The first presentation of the InterAgency Brown-Bag Lecture Series for CGSC academic year 2022 will be conducted at 12:30 p.m., Sept. 21 in the Arnold Conference Room of the Lewis and Clark Center on Fort Leavenworth. Mr. Thomas A. Gray, the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command Liaison to the Combined Arms Center and Army University, will discuss current and future space initiatives impacting global DoD and other government agency operations. He will also address government agencies primarily invested in space operations to include the new Space Development Agency, NASA, NOAA, and NRO.

Combined Arms Center Commanding General, Lt. Gen. Ted Martin, addresses officers of the Maneuver Captain's Career Course in Fort Benning on 3 August. The course prepares its students to be successful company commanders and battalion and brigade staff officers able to win in a complex world. Lt. Gen. Martin shared leadership advice with the students including their importance in being stewards of the profession and in developing leadership qualities in their subordinates.
