The leadership of the Combined Arms Center and Fort Leavenworth want to extend our best wishes and sincere gratitude to all of our Gold Star Families. Your Families know the true meaning of the word, "sacrifice", and although today may be a somber occasion, we hope that you can reflect on the happy times with your Soldiers and be rightfully proud of their Service. Despite the continuing challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Fort Leavenworth will sponsor events to honor the sacrifice of our Fallen Soldiers over the next several weeks. We hope our Gold Star Families participate as they are able. These events include the annual Run / Walk for the Fallen, and the Lantern Launch at Merritt Lake. We are still planning additional events to support our Gold Star Families and will provide more details through the Survivor Outreach Services and our social media sites.
