Claims
The Claims Office mission is to process, investigate, adjudicate, and negotiate the settlement of non-contractual claims for Army activities at Fort Leavenworth as well as Illinois, Iowa, parts of Missouri, and parts of Kansas. Claims are processed for lost or damaged property, personal injury, death, disasters, and other costs arising from Army operations. We are committed to our customers and have been recognized for the quality of our service by receiving the Army Judge Advocate General's Excellence in Claims Award thirteen times since its inception in 1996.
Office HoursMon-Fri 0900-1600, Thu 1300-1600. Closed federal and training holidays.

Personnel ClaimsClaims against the U.S. filed by Army service members and DA civilians for loss or damage to personal property occurring incident to service, including household goods shipment or storage, POV shipment or storage, unusual occurrence, and on-post theft or vandalism.

Tort ClaimsClaims against the U.S. for personal injury, death, or property damage caused by the negligence of military personnel acting in the scope of employment or occurring incident to the noncombat operations of the armed services. These include claims under the Military Claims Act, the Federal Tort Claims Act, the National Guard Claims Act, and the Foreign Claims Act.
