Brig. Gen. Jerry “Fred” Prochaska, Deputy Commanding General, National Guard, U.S. Army Combined Arms Center, receives the Legion of Merit upon his departure from CAC. In his role as DCG, he has been the CAC Commanding General's principal advisor on all matters pertaining to the training and education of the Army National Guard component. Mr. TJ Moffatt, Deputy Director, U.S. Army Combined Arms Center Peacekeeping and Stability Operations Institute (PKSOI), recently held a fireside chat with retired Norwegian Maj. Gen. Kristin Lund to discuss U.N. peacekeeping and Women, Peace and Security (WPS) in military operations in support of the U.S. Army War College’s War, Policy and National Security Course at Carlisle, PA. Maj. Gen. Lund was the first female Commander of a U.N. peacekeeping mission, first female Norwegian Maj. Gen., and the first female inductee into the #ArmyWarCollege International Fellows Hall of Fame. #PKSOI executes the Army’s mission as Joint Proponent for peacekeeping and is also responsible for WPS within the Army.
