The Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) Academy graduated Class 16-011 in a ceremony today, Thursday, Sept. 1, in Grant Auditorium. Col. Craig Merutka, staff judge advocate for the U.. Army Combined Arms Center, was the guest speaker for the event. Special awards were presented to Sgt. 1st Class Roshunda Bassett-Olson (Academic Excellence Award) and Sgt. 1st Class Latisha Brossard (Spirit Award).

U.S. Army Combined Arms Center leaders joined Lt. Gen. Michael D. Lundy, commanding general of CAC, for a Senior Leadership Forum make-up session at Grant Hall on Wednesday, Aug. 31. Senior leaders present were Brig. Gen. John S. Kolasheski, commandant of the U.S. Army Armor School, U.S. Army Maneuver Center of Excellence at Fort Benning, Ga., Brig. Gen. Rodney D. Fogg, commandant of the U.S. Army Quartermaster School at Fort Lee, Va., and Maj. Gen. Brian J. McKiernan, commanding general of the U.S. Army Fires Center of Excellence at Fort Sill, Okla.

The Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) Academy graduated Class 16-010 in a ceremony today, Friday, Aug. 26, in Grant Auditorium. Kirby Brown, deputy to the commanding general of the U.S. Army Combined Arms Center, was the guest speaker for the event. Special awards were presented to Lisa Lerma (Academic Excellence Award) and Sgt. 1st Class Nicole Ratchford (Spirit Award). Additionally, Staff Sgt. James House received the commander's coin from Brown for performing much needed first aid to a fellow student during the school year.

The Chief of the Military Mission of Chile to the U.S. (MA), Lt. Gen. Ivan Gonzalez, tasked the Chilean Liaison Officer to the U.S. Army Combined Arms Center, Lt. Col. Mauricio Rojo, to provide several hard copy documents to Lt. Gen. Michael Lundy, CAC commanding general, for him to distribute as he desires. This is the first hard copy document exchange from Chile in recent history.

Corporal Elizabeth Fitch, corrections specialist with the 15th Military Police Brigade, asks Kansas City Chiefs Running Back Jamaal Charles for his autograph after training camp in St. Joseph, Mo. Several U.S. Army and international Soldiers from Fort Leavenworth were invited to participate in last day training camp on Military Appreciation Day Thursday, Aug. 18. Following training, select service members were given footballs by Head Coach Andy Reid, including Fitch. The Chiefs players treated Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines from multiple installations to autographs and photos following the morning event.

"Fort Leavenworth was host to the Employee Engagement Training Conference (E2TC) at the Lewis and Clark Center Thursday, Aug. 11 and Friday, Aug. 12. The one-and-a-half day event brought together numerous Department of the Army's senior leaders in an effort to craft reasonable solutions to address issues facing the Army's modern civilian workforce." Beth Colbert, acting director of the Office of Personnel Management, presents Lt. Col. Jeffery Bevington, chief leader of development education and training for the U.S. Army SHARP Academy, and Maj. Timothy Migliore, capabilities developer at the U.S. Army National Simulation Center a trophy for winning first place at the Second Annual Kansas City Federal Executive Board Innovation Connection held at the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library Tuesday, Aug. 9. The team submitted the Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention Command Team Trainer - also known as ELITE SHARP CTT - and won top honors against eight other entrees.
