Lt. Gen. Michael D. Lundy addresses a joint audience of Command and General Staff Officers Course (CGSOC) and the School for Advanced Military Studies (SAMS) on understanding changes to the newly drafted version of Field Manual (FM 3-0) "Army Operations" in the Lewis and Clark Center on Fort Leavenworth. FM 3-0 provides a narrative manual that describes how the Army fights during unified land combat operations and provides overarching doctrinal guidance for conducting operations against near-peer adversaries. FM 3-0 also accounts for the expanded battlefield that includes cyberspace, the electromagnetic spectrum, space, and the information environment. Lundy said, "FM 3-0 focuses on the division, corps and theater army. We need to make a shift in how we think about warfighting."
