Combined Arms Center and Fort Leavenworth Commanding General Lt. Gen. Michael Lundy addresses the School for Command Preparation’s Pre-Command Course students Dec. 11, 2019 in the Lewis and Clark Center’s Marshall Lecture Hall, Fort Leavenworth Kan. The address served as Lundy’s last PCC engagement ahead of his change of command ceremony Dec. 16. Lundy spoke to the students about the mission of CAC, capability gaps the Army is working on filling and the modernization of the Army. Lundy said the Army is going to be going through a lot of changes as it works on the Army Modernization Strategy that aims to prepare the Army to be capable of conducting Multi-Domain Operations as part of an integrated joint force in a single theater by 2028 and able to conduct MDO in multiple theaters by 2035. “If you’re not comfortable with change - you’ll be less comfortable with being irrelevant,” Lundy said. PCC is a two-week course conducted 10 times a year for brigade and battalion command selectees and command sergeant major selectees.
