Capt. Stephanie Parker, 165th Military Police Company Commander, leads five Soldiers in the oath of enlistment backstage during the Bret Michaels Hometown Heroes Tour concert Nov. 10, 2019 in Independence, Mo. The group included Cpl. Desirae Salazar, Sgt. Isis Erron-Walker, Staff Sgt. Kevin Bandru, Staff Sgt. Thomas Nordlee and Sgt. Joshua Buchholz. During Michaels’ visit to Fort Leavenworth Oct. 29, he invited Soldiers from the 15th Military Police Brigade to the concert. Plans were then made to conduct a reenlistment ceremony for a group of Soldiers backstage during the concert. Michaels also brought veterans, first responders and other nominated ‘hometown heroes’ up onto the stage during the concert to honor and recognize them.
