An instructor from the Army Joint Support Team leads members of the 3rd Infantry Division staff through a practical exercise during Specialized Joint Air-Ground Training Aug. 14-16 at Hurlburt Field, Fla. During this iteration, AJST staff facilitated academics, coaching, and systems support in order to meet 3ID’s training objectives. These objectives included refinement of the JAGIC SOP, battle drills, and layout; opportunity training and systems proficiency; and team building, communications and PACE planning.

The Army Joint Support Team trained 13 members of the 25th Infantry Division Joint Air-Ground Integration Center, Aug. 6-9, 2018, at Hurlburt Field, Fla. This Specialized Joint Air-Ground Integration Training prepared the 25ID team to execute processes, procedures, and battle drills using digitally enhanced decision-making techniques. At the completion of training, the division achieved unit training objectives such as standard operating procedure validation, system operator performance improvement, and the establishment of working relationships. This off-site training venue has proven essential to division staffs preparing to use the JAGIC technique with their supporting U.S. Air Force personnel. President and CEO of the Florida Panthers Hockey Club, Matthew Caldwell, spoke about energetic leadership and defining organizational culture during the Army Leader Exchange presentation August 10 in the Lewis and Clark Center's Arnold Conference Room. Caldwell is also an Army veteran and a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. The Army Joint Support Team recently completed iteration 18-04 of the Echelons Above Brigade Airspace Course and graduated 46 students. EABAC is an eight-day resident course at Hurlburt Field, Fla., designed to educate and train individuals to perform tasks associated with division Joint Air Ground Integration Center/Current Operations Integration Cell and EAB airspace elements and fires cells. This is the only airspace control course that exists for these Army echelons and is essential for members of division staffs who will employ a JAGIC. Lt. Col. Phil DeVries, Mission Command Center of Excellence, awaits the passing of the funeral procession of Army Air Forces Staff Sgt. Vincent L. Politte, July 30, 2018. Politte, a 1941 graduate of Leavenworth’s Immaculata High School, was killed Aug. 1, 1943, while participating in an air raid on an oil refinery complex in Romania during Operation Tidal Wave. His remains were recently identified by the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency and he was laid to rest with full military honors at Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery. Ted Thomas (right), Chief, Concepts and Requirements Division, Mission Command Capability Development Integration Directorate, looks over his notes during the outbrief for Limited Objective Experiment 4, July 20, 2018. This event brought together representatives from the other Centers of Excellence in order to assist with the Echelon Above Brigade assessment. The EAB assessment is a year-long effort that will identify required capabilities for each echelon's headquarters and formations ability to conduct Multi-Domain Operations. The community of interest spent a week reviewing and discussing proposed changes to each echelon based on earlier data calls. The revised formations will be used by ARCIC for future MDO experimentation.

Brig. Gen. Neil S. Hersey, commandant of the U.S. Army Cyber School, addressed students, staff, faculty, and guests of the Information Operations Qualification Course (IOQC) graduation on May 18, 2018. Twenty-one students graduated from this iteration of the IOQC which included officers from the Army Reserve, Army National Guard, and Active Component. Capt. Andrew Thomas (top left) received the Distinguished Honor Graduate award for the course.
