Marine Corps Element (MCELM)
Mission
The mission of the Marine Corps Detachment is to provide leadership, administrative support, instruction, and service-level representation for Marines assigned to organizations supporting the Joint Staff (J7), the United States Army Combined Arms Center, the United States Army Command and General Staff College, and the Army Corrections Command located aboard Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Additionally, Marines assigned to the Detachment serve as ambassadors of the United States Marine Corps in the greater Kansas City area.
