Eagle OWL Exercise May 2017

Exercise EAGLE OWL is the largest joint staff college exercise in the world bringing 200 British officers to Fort Leavenworth twice yearly for joint exercises with their U.S. counterparts. The two nations have conducted EAGLE OWL for the past ten years with the most recent exercise currently underway at Fort Leavenworth. According to the agreement, Exercise EAGLE OWL is a recurring twice-yearly training event that supports the execution and sustainment of a comprehensive Combined Arms Military Operation International Activities Program and is reciprocated by an annual deployment of U.S. students to join the United Kingdom's Staff Ride to Normandy (Exercise EURO OWL). These exercise exchanges promote allied interoperability, improving the capacity to operate together and fostering an environment of improved defense capabilities for allies and friends.
