Leaders from Kansas military installations gathered at the State Capitol 23 Feb to participate in the 2016 Military Appreciation Day proclamation signing with Governor Brownback. Ft Leavenworth was represented by Kirby Brown, deputy to the commanding general and Robert Arter, Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army - Kansas East. Kansas established the day to recognize military bases and service members for their sacrifices for the Nation and their contributions to the communities near the bases.
