18-28: Operating in a Denied, Degraded, and Disrupted Space Operational Environment Handbook
The space domain is a vital component of the emerging concept of multi-domain battle and the warfighter is reliant on the capabilities it provides to be successful in executing operations. This collaboratively produced handbook will give the warfighter techniques and strategies to successfully operate in a denied, degraded, and disrupted space operational environment (D3SOE).
CALL analysts recently traveled to Bogota, Colombia, to conduct a subject matter expert exchange 15-18 May, 2018. In this short video, produced by the National Army of Colombia, Keith Warman, CALL military analyst (forward) with U.S. Army South, explains the purpose of this exchange and what it means for our two armies to use the lessons learned process to improve readiness and interoperability. “Lessons learned is a foundation from which the institutional Army can benefit. It feeds everything across the different domains of doctrine, training, equipping, and maintenance.”

Leadership” handbook, expected publication in May, is a
direct result of Soldier input to members of our collection
teams. Further, we are making it available via our new
pre-order capability. Now you can visit our CAC-enabled
website, select items for pre-order, and have those products
sent directly to your unit as soon as they arrive at the Army
Training Support Center warehouse. Please let us know

USARCENT Intermediate Division Headquarters (IDHQ) Operation Spartan Shield 29th Infantry Division Observations Report
This report delivers observations made during the 29th Infantry Division's deployment to the U.S. Army Central area of responsibility to serve as the Intermediate Division Headquarters (IDHQ) from the period December 2017 to July 2018. It highlights lessons and best practices used during this mission that can assist follow-on IDHQs in preparing for their deployment and allow more rapid integration into the ARCENT mission command structure once in theater.

This volume for new platoon leaders and platoon sergeants contains insights on leadership, training management, Army systems, and more. Vignettes and lessons from current and former platoon-level leaders allow newly assigned leaders to learn from those who have gone before.

18-21 US Army Ordnance Crucible Combat Repair Team Observations Bulletin
This bulletin provides the Army’s operating force with recommendations based on a deliberate collection of tactical and technical observations gained during the 2017 Combat Repair Team of the Year Competition as part of the U.S. Army Ordnance Crucible. The 2017 U.S. Army Ordnance Crucible consisted of three major competitions: Ammunition Transfer and Holding Point, Combat Repair Team, and Explosive Ordnance Disposal. The competitions were designed to test Soldiers’ teamwork and critical thinking skills as they applied technical solutions to real-world problems. The U.S. Army Ordnance Crucible allowed divisions to validate institutional training and their respective units’ skills.
GTA 07-71-001 Combat Skills for Small Unit Leaders
This GTA is a pocket-sized quick reference guide for U.S. Army Soldiers providing summarized checklists, processes, and critical data to support Soldiers and leaders conducting small unit operations. The information contained in this GTA encompasses the basic fundamentals of the Army Warrior Tasks and Battle Drills to enhance Soldier capabilities while conducting missions in training or operational environments.
18-16: Maneuver Leader's Guide to Stinger
The Chief of Staff of the Army directed the Army to execute a plan to increase short-range air defense (SHORAD) capability. The immediate solution is to train and arm teams of Soldiers organic to select brigade combat teams with Stinger missiles. This directive is one line of effort as the force structure for a dedicated maneuver SHORAD capability increases. This handbook is meant to serve as a guide for the maneuver leader to help train and employ their Stinger teams.
