CALL Insider include two catalogs we produced last month based on topics trending in the Army community. Subterranean Ops and Counter-Weapons of Mass Destruction both provide the user with a compilation of doctrine, handbooks, information papers, after action reports, and historical documents that CALL analysts determined were relevant and would assist Soldiers and unit leaders.

The Combined Arms Center welcomed Lt. Gen. Jose Alberto Vizcarra Alvarez, Commander of Training and Doctrine Command, Peruvian Army, and his delegation June 19-20. During this trip, the delegation visited CAC Headquarters, MC CoE, CALL (pictured), CADD, CAL, CAPE, CGSC and CAC-T. The Center for Army Lessons Learned recently deployed two analysts to Yerevan, Armenia, at the request of the U.S. Office of Defense Cooperation for a follow-on engagement to assist the Armenian Armed Forces in its adoption of mission command. The Armenian General Headquarters formed a Mission Command (MC) Task Force and is conducting a pilot program to determine how MC principles should be integrated into the force. Lessons and best practices from the pilot units are collected each quarter and used to make adjustments to the program. As part of this visit, CALL analysts provided a briefing on the military decision-making process with a focus on Step 4, Course of Action Analysis. The next engagement is tentatively scheduled for June 2017 to assist with the development of a formal lessons learned program for the Armenian Armed Forces.
