Accreditation Overview

Accreditation is based on meeting specific standards to improve educational programs and student learning through critical evaluation of the school's performance and provides specific recommendations for continuous process and program improvement.

Our participation is to ensure we provide high quality programs and services from development to implementation of current, relevant education and training to meet leader competency needs throughout the Army.

Current Accreditation

AMSC is currently accredited by three institutions: the Training and Doctrine Command Quality Assurance Program, Council on Occupational Education, and International Association for Continuing Education and Training / American National Standards Institute.


US Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) includes as assessment of our courses based on doctrine, organization, training, materiel, leadership and education, personnel, and facilities domain (DOTMLPF) standards led by the Quality Assurance (QA) Office. The TRADOC QA Program is a service organization chartered to promote high standards to enhance Army combat readiness through internal and external evaluations, conferences, consulting services, and assistance.


Council on Occupational Education (COE) is a regional accrediting organization that serves institutions in an 11-state region. COE provides accreditation services to postsecondary occupational education institutions and the Council is recognized by the US Secretary of Education as a reliable authority on the quality of education offered by the institutions it has accredited. The council's current scope of recognition is as a national institutional accrediting agency for the accreditation of non-degree-granting and applied associate degree-granting postsecondary occupational education institutions.


International Association For Continuing Education And Training (IACET)

The Army Management Staff College (AMSC) is accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). AMSC complies with the ANSI/IACET Standard, which is recognized internationally as a standard of excellence in instructional practices. As a result of this accreditation, AMSC is authorized to issue the IACET CEU.
