Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins from the Kansas 2nd District congratulates Mrs. Michael Clowser at her husband's Assumption of Responsibility ceremony 21 Jul. Command Sgt. Maj. Michael Clowser assumed the duties of Combined Arms Center Leader Development and Education Command Sergeant Major. Prior to this assignment, Command Sgt. Maj. Clowser had been the senior NCO with 12th Aviation Brigade and had deployed with that unit to Afghanistan.

Brig. Gen. Joseph M. Martin (left) hands an Assumption of Responsibility certificate to SGM Richard K. Johnson. SGM Johnson is the Combined Arms Center - Training's top non-commissioned officer. Brig. Gen. Martin is CAC-T's deputy commanding general. He said SGM Johnson will play a critical role in CAC-T's training support and training development missions. SGM Johnson said he looked forward to helping CAC-T advance Army readiness.

Members of the Kansas City Chiefs visited Fort Leavenworth 30 April to conduct a NFL Play 60 event with students from USD 207. The NFL Play 60 program was created to encourage kids to be active for 60 minutes per day. Following the Play 60, Chiefs Linebacker Derrick Johnson (56), Chase Daniel (10), and Tyler Bray (9) met with Soldiers and Families of Fort Leavenworth.
