Army Doctrine Reference Publication (ADRP) 3-90 Offense and Defense recently became available on the Central Army Registry. Command Sgt. Maj. Jimmy Sellers became the 22nd Commandant of the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy, Fort Bliss, Texas, when he accepted the USASMA colors from Maj. Gen. John S. Kem, Provost for Army University and Deputy Commandant for the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, during a Change of Responsibility ceremony June 23 in the Academy's Cooper Lecture Center. LeBoeuf, Deputy Commanding General and Executive Vice Provost of Army University, leads a panel discussing a competency-based approach to talent and connecting military education and workplace learning. Other panelists are: Laurie Dodge, President, Board of Directors, Competency-Based Education Network; Jason Tyszko, Executive Director, U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation; and Chad Ahren, Strategy Officer for the Lumina Foundation. Army University, Competency-Based Education Network and the Lumina Foundation co-sponsored the two day Army University Symposium at the Westin Hotel in downtown Kansas City, Mo.

Lt. Gen. Michael D. Lundy, Commanding General of the Combined Arms Center, welcomed Lt. Gen. Jose Alberto Vizcarra Alvarez, Commander of Training and Doctrine Command, Peruvian Army, and his delegation June 19-20. During this trip, the delegation visited CAC Headquarters, MC CoE, CALL, CADD, CAL, CAPE, and CAC-T. This visit enhances the Peruvians’ understanding of CAC capabilities, builds partnership capacity, and promotes professional growth within our programs.

Lieutenant General Michael Lundy, commanding general of the U.S. Army Combined Arms Center (CAC); Pvt. Austin Cochran, corrections specialist with the 15th Military Police Brigade; and CAC Cmd. Sgt. Major David Turnbull, participated in a cake-cutting ceremony at Fort Leavenworth's 242nd Army Birthday Celebration. The theme of this year's birthday is "Over There: a celebration of the World War I Soldier.” Prior to the cake cutting, Lundy reenlisted 11 Fort Leavenworth Soldiers.

Congratulations to the nearly 1,200 officers graduating from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff Officer Course here on the morning of June 9, 2017 on the Main Parade Field. The graduating class included mid-career officers from all American military services as well as 110 international officers representing 85 countries and 15 federal government civilian employees.
