On Aug. 17, Allen replaced Liddell as the ATSC commander. ATSC oversees programs that enable the development, delivery and sustainment of Army training. O’Neil is the deputy commanding general of the Combined Arms Center – Training, Fort Leavenworth, Kan. He attended the ceremony to thank Liddell for his service and welcome Allen. ATSC is one of CAC-T’s subordinate organizations.

Brig. Gen. Mark J. O’Neil discusses the principles of leadership with members of Leadership Kansas who visited Fort Leavenworth, Kan., on July 31. Leadership Kansas members go to civic, military, business and educational institutions around the state to learn about leadership. BG O’Neil, who is the deputy commanding general of the Combined Arms Center – Training, talked about the primary importance of the Army’s leader development efforts. He also explained how those efforts apply to the private sector. Next to BG O’Neil is Dustin Stanley, the vice president of operations of Chanute Manufacturing.

The National Simulation Center's Francisco Villanueva explains the Emergent Leader Immersive Training Environment program at a recent Deputy Commanding General Course. The video game program trains young Army leaders how to address personal and professional problems. During the presentation, three DCGs viewed ELITE on laptops. The DCGs are: Col. Joseph McGee of the 1st Cavalry Division (left), Col. Timothy Daugherty of the 4th Infantry Division (center) and Brig. Gen. Donna Williams of the 412 Engineer Command.

Brig. Gen. Mark J. O'Neil (left), Pfc. Britteny Ganiron and Command Sgt. Maj. David O. Turnbull cut a cake to celebrate the Army's 240th birthday. Earlier in the day, teams of Soldiers and civilians did sit-ups, pushups and other physical activities in a competition on the USD 207 track. O’Neil is the deputy commanding general of the Combined Arms Center – Training. Ganiron received the cake-cutting honor for being the youngest Soldier at Fort Leavenworth. Turnbull is the command sergeant major for the Combined Arms Center.

Trossen was the director of the Training Management Directorate (TMD).
