Military History Instruction Support Team (MHIST)
CSI Home
The MHIST mission encompasses the following lines of effort:
- Conduct the two-week Military History Instructor Course (MHIC) for ROTC cadre and other Army and DoD personnel with a requirement to teach military history
- Act as executive agent for the US Army Center of Military History regarding award of the Army Historian Additional Skill Identifier 5X, Army Field Historian
- Serve as course author and primary instructor for the CGSS Elective A625, Army Field Historian
- Conduct programmatic inspections of all TRADOC centers' and schools' military history instruction curriculum to ensure compliance with guidance issued by the Commander, TRADOC, in TRADOC Regulation 870-1.
