On Friday, July 28, 2023, Lt. Gen. Milford H. Beagle, Jr., CAC CG, hosted a Wreath Laying Ceremony in celebration of National Buffalo Soldier Day at the Fort Leavenworth's Frontier Conference Center and members of the Alexander/Madison Chapter of Kansas City Buffalo Soldiers laid a wreath during the ceremony. Buffalo Soldiers Day commemorates the formation of the first Army regiments comprised of African American Soldiers. In July 1992, then-Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Colin Powell dedicated the National Buffalo Soldier Monument at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas to honor the exceptional legacy of these great Soldiers. ...Read More
