Additional Programs and Qualifications


Focused Programs:


Students have the opportunity to complete training in a focused program. A focused program is a program of concentrated study in a specific subject area, leading to the awarding of an additional skill identifier (ASI).


The focused programs are:

Joint Planner - 3H  (No Navy Equivalent AQD or Subspecialty)
Historian - 5X  (Navy Subspecialty Code 4302P)
Strategist - 6Z  (Navy Subspecialty Code 2000P)*

*Must complete Masters of Military Arts and Science Degree requirements.


Specialized Tracks:


Tracks are designed to broaden an officer's knowledge and provide an opportunity to study subjects in greater depth.


The Tracks available to Navy students are:


  Special Operations Forces (SOF)


Joint Planner Qualification (JP-1):

This qualification can be awarded upon the successful completion of the Advanced Military Studies Program (AMSP).


JPME -II:

Advanced Strategic Leadership Studies Program (ASLSP).
While ASLSP does not currently give JPME-II credit, efforts are being made to accredit it as Phase II in the future.
