FORT LEAVENWORTH, Kan.– Chief of the Army Staff of Nepal, Gen. Chhatra Man Singh Gurung, was inducted into the International Officer Hall of Fame April 7 at 9:30 a.m. in the Eisenhower Auditorium of the Lewis and Clark Center.

Gurung graduated from the Command and General Staff College in 1986 and is now the third inductee from Nepal.

The USACGSC International Hall of Fame, dedicated in 1973, is sponsored by CGSC and the Kansas City Chapter of the Military Order of World Wars.

The IHOF recognizes International Military Student graduates through a prestigious and visible means of recognition of those who have attained, through military merit, the highest position in their nation’s armed forces, or who have held an equivalent position by rank or responsibility in a multi-national military organization and epitomizes the professionalism of a CGSC graduate.

The IHOF has 240 members from 67 countries. Nearly 35 graduates from Nepal have achieved general officer rank.
