BG Rhonda Cornum, U.S. Army physician and former prisoner of war, addressed the students, faculty and staff at the Command and General Staff College, Feb. 13. Cornum, director of Comprehensive Soldier Fitness, Headquarters, Department of the Army, spoke on CSF, an Army initiative launched last October that includes Soldiers’ mental and emotional fitness, along with their physical form, as a comprehensive assessment of troop health.
Following her remarks, a panel of behavioral health specialists and chaplains addressed this and other issues. The presentation was designed to present an Army-wide view of Soldier wellness and fitness topics, then to use the panel discussion to focus on issues facing the students as they return to the force as well as highlight local resources available to them and their families. |
