Definition/Scope: A suite of sensors, processors and countermeasures which detect enemy weapon systems engaging or about to engage the host platform; provide advance warning to the crew to allow them to take defensive action; and initiate countermeasures which protect the host vehicle by obscuring the host, decoying or jamming the guidance of the enemy weapon, or intercepting the hostile munition in flight.
