continuous wave radars

Definition/Scope: Radar which transmits and receives at the same time. A simple CW radar can detect targets, measure their radial velocity (from the Doppler frequency shift), and determine the direction of arrival of the received signal. However, a more complicated waveform is required for finding the range of the target.
