Definition/Scope: (FM 3-0 ) The synchronized and simultaneous application of the elements of combat power—to achieve an effect greater than if each element of combat power was used separately or sequentially. (Old version) (1) The use of two or more arms of one military Service such as artillery, aviation, infantry, and armor, in mutual support to produce complementary and reinforcing effects.
