5th Signal Command (Theater)

Definition/Scope: (%th SC) 5th Signal Command (Theater), headquartered at Wiesbaden Army Airfield, Germany, is NETCOM/9th Signal Command?s communications arm in Europe and provides support to organizations across the theater, to include U.S. Army Europe, European Command, U.S. Army Africa, African Command and NATO. The 5th SC (T) provides full-spectrum signal forces in strategic, expeditionary, joint and combined environments. The command provides and extends network capability through all operational phases for Warfighters, allowing continuous and transparent battle command. The 5th SC (T) manages the region?s Network Service Center components, enabling the Global Network Enterprise for operating forces in Europe or those traversing through the theater.OLD VERSION Forward deployed, trained and ready signal force, providing signal support for Army, joint and multinational operations in the U.S. European Command.
