Army Service Component Command
Definition/Scope: Army Service Component Command’s (ASCC) are those commands that support either FORSCOM, TRADOC, or the Army Matreial Command. The ASCC’s are: United States Army Central (USARCENT) Fort McPherson, GA, United States Army Europe (USAREUR) Heidelberg, Germany, United States Army North (USARNORTH) Fort Sam Houston, TX, United States Army South (USARSO) Fort Sam Houston, TX, United States Army Pacific (USARPAC) Fort Shafter, HI, United States Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) Fort Bragg, N.C., Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) Alexandria, VA, United States Army Space and Missile and Defense Command/Army Strategic Command (USASMDC/ARSTRAT) Arlington, VA, and Eighth Army (EUSA) Yong Son, Korea. OLD VERSION A command consisting of the Service component commander and all those Service forces, such as individuals, units, detachments, organizations, and installations under the command, including the support forces that have been assigned to a combatant command, or further assigned to a subordinate unified command or joint task force.
