Department of Defense Continuity Programs

Definition/Scope: (DoDD 3020.26) Department of Defense Continuity programs are all Defense continuity-related activities, programs, and requirements of the Department of Defense (DoD) Components, including those related to continuity of operations (COOP), continuity of government (COG), and enduring constitutional government (ECG), shall ensure the continuation of current approved DoD and DoD Component mission essential functions (MEFs) under all circumstances across the spectrum of threats.
