Camp Shelby

Definition/Scope: Camp Shelby is home to the Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center (CSJFTC) located in southern Mississippi. It is the largest state (National Guard) owned training site used by the reserve component in the United States. Established in 1917, Camp Shelby has seen many changes of titles of authority to include the latest as the FORSCOM Mobilization Center in June 2004. It also serves as the Mississippi Armed Forces Museum.
