Anti-armor Improvised Explosive Device

Definition/Scope: An anti-armor improvised explosive device (AAIED) is an IED that incorporates a main charge which is designed to/capable of defeating armor. The primary AAIED’s are explosively formed pnetrator (EFP), shaped charges, platter charges, and directional focused fragmentation charges.
