Defense Acquisition Regulations System
Definition/Scope: (DARS) The Defense Acquisition Regulations System (DARS) develops and maintains acquisition rules and guidance to facilitate the acquisition workforce as they acquire the goods and services DoD requires to ensure America’s warfighters continued worldwide success. The Defense Procurement and Acquisition Policy (DPAP) utilizes the DARS office to create and maintain the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
