AN/MPQ-65 Radar set

Definition/Scope: A system upgrade on the AN/MPQ-53 Radar set. The upgrade has a better ability to discriminate real targets from decoys, significant improvements in expanded search, threat detection, and identification and engagement capability and to perform engagements in highly cluttered environments. The addition of the high altitude cruise missile (HACM) search sector enhances the system's ability to detect and counter air-launch cruise missiles (CMs).
