AN/AAS-36A Infrared Detecting Set
Definition/Scope: The AN/AAS-36A Infrared Detecting Set (IRDS) provides passive imaging of infrared wavelength radiation to visible light emanating from the terrain along the aircraft flight path for stand-off detection, tracking, and classification capability. The IRDS update will primarily consist of an improved A-focal lens.
