AFATDS Command and Staff Course

Definition/Scope: Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS) is the fire support portion of the Army Battle Command System (ABCS). AFATDS provides: Automated Fire Support planning and execution capabilities for fire assets (cannon, rocket, missile, mortars, close air support, air interdiction, naval gunfire, attack helicopter, offensive electronic warfare); Intelligence and logistic functions in the execution of counterfire, interdiction, suppression of enemy air defense and deep operations. This three-week course is conducted at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.
