Definition/Scope: There are several different meanings for force. (JP 1-02) 1. An aggregation of military personnel, weapon systems, equipment, and necessary support, or combination thereof or as a major subdivision of a fleet. Outside of military usage: Force may also be thought of as any influence which tends to change the motion of an object. It can also be when used against a person it is to exert violence, compulsion, or constraint upon or against a person or thing.
