Combined Arms Center-Leadership Development and Education

Definition/Scope: The Combined Arms Center-Leadership Development and Education is a division within the Combined Arms Center. It is responsible for the following organizations: the Center for Army Leadership (CAL), the Command and General Staff College (CGSC), The Defense Language Institute (DLI), Sergeants Major Academy (SMA), Warrant Officer Career College, Army Civilian University and the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation (WHINSEC). It is responsible for, among other requirements, leader development, and leadership doctrine and to assist in sustaining and growing of the Army leaders.
