Measure Of Performance
Definition/Scope: (JP 3-0) A measure of performance is a criterion used to assess friendly actions that is tied to measuring task accomplishment. MOPs help answer questions such as, “Was the action taken?” or “Were the tasks completed to standard?” A MOP confirms or denies that a task has been properly performed. An MOP will usually be quantitative (numbers) versus a measure of effectiveness, MOE, which will normally be qualitative (statements or questions).
