Response zone
Definition/Scope: (JP 3-07.2 ) An response zone is #3 of four zones within an access control zone. The response zone is the area extending from the end of the access control zone to the location of the final active vehicle barrier. This zone defines the end of the ACP. The purpose of the response zone is to allow the security force to respond to a threat, operate the active vehicle barriers, and close the ACP if necessary.
