United States Marine Corps Forces Command

Definition/Scope: United States Marine Corps Forces Command is the USMC component of the United States Joint Forces Command USJFCOM. It was previously known as Marine Forces Atlantic, MARFORLANT. The fighting unit of the MARFORCOM is the II Marine Expeditionary Force, II MEF. The II MEF is located at Camp Lejeune. MARFORCOM is one of three major Marine commands, US Marine Corps Forces Pacific and US marine Corps Forces Reserve.
