1-285th Attack Reconnaissance Battalion.

Definition/Scope: As of Dec 2008 the 1-285th is based out of Phoenix, Arizona. It started out as the 997th Assault Helicopter Company in 1971. The 1-285th has recently transitioned to the AH-64D Apache Longbow. It is also renamed as the 1-285th Attack Reconnaissance Battalion.
