Definition/Scope: Initially deployed in the 1984 by the US Navy. The conventionally armed version, designated TLAM-C, is a long-range, precision guided weapon against fixed targets such as submarine bases and airfields. The nuclear-armed version, TLAM-N, was deployed in 1987.
