Definition/Scope: (AR 381-12) As of 04 Oct 2010 this term has been replaced by TARP (Threat Awareness and Reporting Program). OLD VERSION Acronym for subversion and espionage directed against the US Army. Counterintelligence activities to counter hostile intelligence efforts to subvert Department of the Army (DA) personnel and to recruit DA personnel for espionage purposes. Program includes counterintelligence investigations and target awareness activities.
