reconnaissance and surveillance plans

Definition/Scope: A plan prepared by the G2 or S2, in close coordination with the G3 or S3, that assigns tasks to subordinates to develop information which satisfies the intelligence requirements the commander has established. It will focus assets on the target areas of interest and named areas of interest.
