INTERCEPTOR body armor

Definition/Scope: Interceptor Body Armor (IBA) is a jointservice item designed and developed to incorporate the requirements of the Army and Marine Corps. Interceptor is the model name for a modular, multiple-threat body armor system consisting of a base tactical vest and modular components, with small-arms protective inserts designed to defeat multiple ballistic hazards across the battlefield continuum.
