E-2 Hawkeye

Definition/Scope: The E-2c provides all-weather, airborne early warning, airborne battle management, and C2 functions for the Carrier Strike Group and Joint Force Commander (JFC). It uses computerized radar, IFF, and electronic surveillance sensors for early warning and threat analysis for air and surface targets. The E-2C radar is able to detect high and low flying aircraft.
