The Mission Command Training Program (MCTP – formerly Battle Command Training Program) provides combined arms training, replicating Joint-Interagency-Intergovernmental-Multinational Operations in a relevant Operational Environment, worldwide. Training is conducted for Brigade Combat Teams, Divisions, Corps, ASCCs, JFLCCs and JTFs to create experiences enabling the Army’s Senior Commanders to develop current, relevant, campaign-capable, joint and expeditionary Mission Command instincts and skills. MCTP supports mission command training for multifunctional support brigades, certain functional brigades, theater sustainment commands and expeditionary sustainment commands. In 2010, MCTP received the Army Superior Unit Award, one of the Army’s highest unit awards, for "outstanding meritorious performance during peacetime of a difficult and challenging mission under extraordinary circumstances."
