International Military Student DivisionInternational Military Student Sponsor ProgramMotto: "American Volunteerism at Work" Each year International Military Students (IMS) from some 75 to 80 countries attend the Command and General Staff Officer Course (CGSOC). Each International Military Student has a volunteer Fort Leavenworth Sponsor and two volunteer Civilian Sponsors. There is also an additional duty position known as the Student Ambassador in each CGSOC Staff Group. The Student Ambassador assists the IMS throughout the academic year in matters pertaining to the CGSOC. We encourage you to volunteer today for this important program. Sponsors are recognized for their volunteer service at the International Military Student Farewell and Sponsor Recognition Ceremony held around late May or early June of each Academic Year.
