From September to December 2006, Major Allen demonstrated outstanding professionalism as a member of the Board of Inquiry tasked with investigating a friendly fire incident that occurred on 4 September 2006 in Panjwayi District, Afghanistan. An expert in close air support and forward air control, he provided invaluable guidance to the inquiry and added credibility to the findings. Major Allen's knowledge, dedication and insight were instrumental in the production of recommendations that ultimately enhanced Canadian forces forward air control training. |
